- Above all else I am an artist. I have been doing art all my life but it has taken until now to say and to believe that I am an artist. And I am really proud that I at 52 can say that this is who I am. Do I say this because I sell my art or that I have had a show or that I have been in a gallery? No I say this because this is who I am and if I never sell another piece of art again it will not change who I am or my belief in my god given ability to create.
