Above all else I am an artist. I have been doing art all my life but it has taken until now to say and to believe that I am an artist. And I am really proud that I at 52 can say that this is who I am.
Do I say this because I sell my art or that I have had a show or that I have been in a gallery? No I say this because this is who I am and if I never sell another piece of art again it will not change who I am or my belief in my god given ability to create.
I am guiding a tags workshop at the Fredericksburg Creative Center for the Arts Saturday, September 18, 2010
Bring some supplies( paper, embellishments, yarn etc.) to share and some scissors and some glue and we are going to make some tags to use through the holiday session and for your altered books!
This piece sold this weekend at GoldBenders Jewelers in Fredericksburg, Va. she found a good home with a poet who writes about Venus and loves playing Scrabble. A match made in heaven!
